Cookie Policy

1. Who we are
This Cookie Policy explains how Copilot Labs, Inc. (431 Bryant St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States; "Parahelp", "we" or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on parahelp.com (the "Website"). Our Danish subsidiary, OWND ApS (Nyhavn 14, st., 1051 Copenhagen, Denmark), supports us and is our point of contact in the EU. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally. Questions go to security@parahelp.com.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies) and some by the providers whose tools we use (third-party cookies). We also use technologies that work in a similar way:
Local and session storage, which stores information in your browser like a cookie does, but is not sent with every request.
Tags, pixels and scripts, small pieces of code that load from a provider's server when a page opens and can send information about your visit (for example your IP address, the page URL and your browser type) to that provider.
In this policy we call all of these "cookies" unless the difference matters.
3. How consent works on this Website
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you want to allow optional cookies. Until you make a choice, only strictly necessary cookies are set and no optional tags or scripts load. You can:
Accept all, which turns on every category below.
Reject all, which keeps only strictly necessary cookies. The Website works normally.
Customize, to turn on only the categories you are comfortable with.
Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage (see section 4.1) and remembered until you change it or clear your browser data. If we add a new provider that needs consent, the banner will ask you again.
You can change your choice at any time by clicking Cookie settings in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant tags from loading on your next page view; it does not delete cookies already stored, which you can remove through your browser (section 7).
Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends the GPC signal, we treat it automatically as a rejection of Marketing cookies and, for California residents, as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. You do not need to do anything else.
California residents: turning off Marketing in Cookie settings is how you opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information described in our Privacy Policy. It stops the disclosures to LinkedIn, Google Ads and Unify for this browser.
4. The cookies we use
Each entry lists the cookie, who sets it, what it does and its lifetime, which is the maximum time it stays in your browser unless you delete it earlier. Lifetimes for third-party cookies are set by the provider and may change; the provider documentation linked in section 6 is authoritative.
4.1 Strictly necessary
These are needed for the Website to work, to keep it secure, and to remember your cookie choices. They do not require consent. They cannot be turned off in the banner, but you can block them in your browser, in which case parts of the Website may not work.
framerCookiesConsentMode and framerCookiesDismissed (local storage, first-party, set by the Framer cookie banner). Store the choices you made in the cookie banner so we do not ask again and only load what you allowed. Lifetime: until you change your choice or clear your browser data.
__cf_bm (Cloudflare). Distinguishes people from automated traffic (bot management). Lifetime: 30 minutes.
_cfuvid (Cloudflare). Applies rate limits and identifies a browsing session on our origin server; does not identify you across sites. Lifetime: session.
cf_clearance (Cloudflare). Records that your browser passed a Cloudflare security challenge so you are not asked again. Lifetime: up to 1 year, depending on our Cloudflare security settings.
Framer hosting and site statistics (Framer B.V.). Framer's built-in site statistics count page views, referrers, estimated country and device type using request data only. No cookie or persistent identifier is stored and visitors are not tracked across sites.
Cal.com booking widget (Cal.com, Inc.). Loads only on the Book a demo page, inside the app.cal.com booking widget. Cal.com sets its own cookies and local storage there to show available times in your time zone and complete a booking you have asked for. Lifetime: session, or as described in Cal.com's privacy policy.
4.2 Analytics
These help us understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve it. They load only after you accept the Analytics category. Google Analytics is loaded through Google Tag Manager with Google consent mode set to "denied" for analytics and advertising storage until you accept.
_ga (Google Analytics 4; first-party cookie read by Google). Random client ID used to distinguish visitors and count sessions. Lifetime: 2 years.
_ga_JJ6BZRXL07 (Google Analytics 4; first-party cookie read by Google). Keeps session state for our Google Analytics property. Lifetime: 2 years.
ph_phc_vRJolg2Bq5qeKrmzHQCJWZSEqlqcl49pPGGy5Qu9kpj_posthog (PostHog; first-party cookie, also mirrored in local storage). Random visitor ID and session information for PostHog analytics. Data is sent to PostHog's EU cloud (Frankfurt, Germany). Lifetime: 1 year.
ph_phc_..._window_id and related session storage keys (PostHog; browser session storage). Link the events and session recording of one browser tab together. Session recordings capture clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and the page as shown to you; text typed into form fields is masked. Lifetime: deleted when the tab is closed.
4.3 Marketing
These are used to measure our advertising, to show Parahelp ads on LinkedIn and Google to people who have visited our Website, and to find out which companies are visiting the Website so our sales team can follow up. They load only after you accept the Marketing category.
The LinkedIn Insight Tag sends your IP address, the page URL, the referring page, your browser and device information and a timestamp to LinkedIn. If you are logged in to LinkedIn, LinkedIn can associate the visit with your LinkedIn profile under LinkedIn's own privacy policy. Google Ads tags send similar information to Google. Unify sends your IP address, the page URL and title, the referring page, campaign (UTM) parameters, clicks and form interactions and browser identifiers to Unify, which matches them against business databases run by Unify and its data providers to identify the company you are visiting from and, in some cases, your business contact details. Unify may combine this information with information from other sources. For California residents these disclosures may be a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, which you can opt out of as described in section 3.
LinkedIn cookies (linkedin.com):
bcookie. Browser identifier used to recognise the browser across LinkedIn services and to detect abuse. Lifetime: 1 year.
lidc. Routes requests to the right LinkedIn data centre. Lifetime: 1 day.
li_gc. Stores the consent status of LinkedIn guests for non-essential cookies. Lifetime: 6 months.
li_sugr. Browser identifier used for probabilistic matching of a person's identity outside LinkedIn's designated countries. Lifetime: 90 days.
UserMatchHistory. Syncs LinkedIn Ads identifiers so ad views and visits can be attributed. Lifetime: 30 days.
AnalyticsSyncHistory. Records when a sync with LinkedIn's analytics cookie last took place. Lifetime: 30 days.
ln_or (first-party cookie set by the Insight Tag). Determines whether LinkedIn's Oribi analytics can run on this Website. Lifetime: 1 day.
Google Ads cookies:
_gcl_au (first-party cookie set by Google Ads). Stores a click identifier so that a demo booking can be attributed to a Google ad. Lifetime: 90 days.
IDE (doubleclick.net). Used by Google to measure ad performance and show ads relevant to you across the web. Lifetime: 13 months.
test_cookie (doubleclick.net). Checks whether your browser accepts cookies. Lifetime: 15 minutes.
Unify:
Unify visitor identifier (first-party cookie or local storage set by the Unify tag on parahelp.com). Random visitor and session identifiers so Unify can recognise a returning browser and stitch page views into one visit. Lifetime: up to 1 year.
5. Cookies we do not use
We do not use cookies from Meta, TikTok, Microsoft or other advertising networks beyond those listed above, and we do not use chat widgets or heat-mapping tools other than the PostHog session recordings described above. If we add a new provider, we will update this policy and, where consent is needed, ask for it through the banner before the provider's cookies are set.
6. Provider documentation and opt-outs
Cloudflare, Inc.: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. Strictly necessary; no opt-out.
Framer B.V.: framer.com/legal/privacy-statement. Cookieless; no opt-out needed.
Cal.com, Inc.: cal.com/privacy. Only used if you open the Book a demo page.
Google LLC: policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/cookies. Opt-outs: Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on and Google ad settings.
PostHog, Inc.: posthog.com/privacy. Reject Analytics in Cookie settings.
LinkedIn Corporation: linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy and linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policy. Opt-out: LinkedIn retargeting opt-out and your LinkedIn ad settings.
Unify: unifygtm.com/legal/privacy-policy. Reject Marketing in Cookie settings, or email security@parahelp.com to have matched contact data deleted.
7. Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also see, block and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of the Website, such as the demo booking widget, from working. Instructions for common browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Brave. To turn on Global Privacy Control, see globalprivacycontrol.org for supported browsers and extensions.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when we change the cookies we use or when the law changes, and post the new version here with a new "last updated" date. If a change means we need your consent for something new, the banner will ask you again.
